TESTIMONIALS

"I used to wake up with headaches and a sore neck, and now that has gone.  I feel that I have had a really noticeable difference at lots of levels.  My snore score went from 9/10 to 4.5/10, so today I had a second procedure to reduce it to below 3/10."

Chris S,  Albany

"The most difficult thing about it all was trying to sleep on a slope that night...I kept slipping down!  I had my nose done at the same time , and did not notice any discomfort in my nose that night.  Even though it has only been a week, I have had the best night breathing through my nose that I can remember."

Wayne M, Auckland

"First night there was a swelling which was uncomfortable, but not painful.  It was not a biggie at all!"

Rowan H, Auckland

"It was amazing, and the snoring stopped the day I saw you, and I have not snored since the operation in early December (2 months).  I'm absolutely rapt!  I had extreme pain for ten days because I got a surface ulcer, but it was worth it for the total cessation of snoring".

Belinda G, Three Kings

Note: Surface ulceration is not very common, and it hurts a lot more when that occasionally happens.  But the increased inflammation of having an ulcer must have produce greater scarring and palatal contraction.....Dr H.

"More snoring score went from ten to three with my first treatment.  I previously had a LAUP.  This was a lot nicer than having the LAUP 21 years ago, and not nearly so painful.  It has been just as effective.  The pain of having a 'SnoreOp' was about 1/10, and that would be pushing it.  I would highly recommend it to anyone".  "If I were to compare the SnoreOp to the LAUP, there is no comparison at all.  The LAUP was really, really, really sore...I would say 11/10 on a pain scale".

Petrus T, North Shore City

Note:  We have done around 20 patients whose UPPP or LAUP have worn off in effect, and these often can be retightened using our simple and comparatively painless technique resulting in reduced snoring.....Dr H

"A massive improvement, and my wife says I hardly ever snore now"  My Snoring Score went from 7/10 to 1/10, and my Epworth Sleepiness Score went from 13/24 to 1/24".

Grant G, Greenhithe

"I have heaps more energy, and now I can easily vacuum my pool in one go.  I can now get back into gardening, and I am not grumpy from being tired any more...I feel much happier in myself.  I now never snore, and my Epworth Sleepiness Score is now 1/24"

Kenneth R, Whangarei

"The postoperative pain was just under having a sore throat"

Rau P, Auckland

My snoring went from 10/10 to 3/10 with two treatments, a great result.  I have recommended this to many of my friends and my brothers!"

Kevin M, Birkenhead

With the first operation I just felt like I had a cold afterwards...The pain was about 1.5/10 at most.  My snoring score before the operation was 9/10, and the Epworth Sleepiness Score at 10/24.  After the first treatment, the snoring score was down to 5.5, and the ESS was down to 7.  From that I find I waken feeling I have had a lot more rest, and I dont get so tired during the day.  I had the second treatment today, and will probably get my nose also done on another visit to clear it out.  It is always blocked".

Aaron M, aged 27, Milford

His wife commented after the second procedure:  "The initial improvement was great, and there was a smaller further improvement with the second minor operation.  Now he does not wake me at all, and his energy levels are MUCH higher...He is quite a different man.  He loves to go fishing in the early mornings, and finds this so much easier now.  He used to stop breathing many times a night, but now I do not hear this any more!"

And his comments:  "The first day I felt a bit sorry for myself, but it helped to suck icecream and ice.  The next day I was a hell of a lot better.  At worst, I rate the postoperative pain as 0.5/10.  the next day it felt like a slight roughness, and the third day it was remarkable!  The snoring reduced 4 days after the procedure, and I was eating normally at that point.  I found that 'Crown Mints' made a huge difference".

James A, Torbay

Crown Mints contain high levels of salicylates which may have helped any discomfort....Dr H

“Thank you for being our great anti-snoring doctor.  This third time has helped significantly, and Mike has now gone down from 6 to 3.5. That’s a great improvement. And I now don’t feel like I need to smother him with a pillow…That must be an improvement.

Mike R’s wife Christine, West Harbour

"It's great!  It worked for me!  My snoring score went from 6 to 2.  Having it done was relatively pain-free.  I have tried various things over the years.  This is my gift to my wife for our 26th wedding anniversary.  I am hoping for a 'Silent Night for Christmas!'"

Christopher W, Pakuranga

"I scored my postoperative pain at 1.5/10.  In other words, the night of the 'Snore-Op', my palate felt 'different' with a bit of a sore throat, but not needing pain relief.  I was a bit surprised that my snoring got worse initially (I forgot the doctor had mentioned this would happen...this is normal).  the second night, everything was fine...no pain".

Lorenzo C, Albany

"Surprisingly, this was one of the easiest things I have done.  The doctor explained everything very well.  The procedure itself was near painless, and was a lot easier than I thought it would be. That night there was no pain at all...just a bit of swelling of my uvula.  I was pleasantly surprised!"

Julian W, Sandringham, Auckland

“It’s a great success:  My Obstructive Sleep apnoea is gone, I have more energy, and don’t wake tired.  I am very happy”

Dean R, Torbay

“It made a hell of a difference.  I have snored for many years.  For me the biggest advantage is that when I wake, there is no longer a sandpaper rasping feel to the back of my throat.  I get none of this now.  My snoring went from 10/10 (no-one will sleep in the same room) to 0/10 with the 3 treatments.  I had tried a lot of things including chinese remedies.  None worked.  This is the only thing that has worked.  I am now less tired, and wake more refreshed.  I feel a lot lot better!”

David B, Bombay

“It is much, much, much, much better.  I would highly recommend this”

George M, Devonport

“My first procedure lasted 7 years, then I had it redone.  My snoring was completely gone after 6 weeks.  It began at 10/10, and ended up at 3/10.  I used to waken people in the next room.  I used to live in a single men’s camp with soundproof walls, and used to wake my neighbour every night.  My bedclothes used to be all over the place in the morning, and now it looks like I have not slept in the bed!”.

Raymond C, Northcote

"With the first procedure, my snoring reduced from 10 to 5.5, and I am nowhere near as tired.  I used to have to take Losec for acid reflux, and since the Snore-Op took effect, I have hardly had to use it”

Graham S, Sunnynook

“I am shocked at just how easy it was.  It was completely painless for me postoperatively”

Graeme M, Woodhill

"I hate needles!  Once the injection was in, it was virtually painless. The first night it felt like a golf ball in the back of my throat, and was uncomfortable, but not really painful... like a bit of a sore throat for a day or so.  I recommend it to anyone who asks.  My snoring has gone from 10/10 to 5/10, so I just had a follow-up SnoreOp done"

Andy C, Whangarei

" It is like a dream come true...Sometimes I now just purr slightly...I used to wake my sister up regularly in the next room.  It has improved out of sight, and is nothing compared with previously.  It is marvellous! "

Eunice R, aged 82, Castor Bay

One week after the procedure, he commented that: "The pain after the snoring operation measured 1.5 on a snoring score of ten...ie a slight discomfort.  The procedure was very quick, and I did not feel a thing.  Even the injection was not too uncomfortable".

Update 8 weeks later:  "My snoring was 10/10, and now is 4.5/10.  So I had a follow-up treatment today to get me less than 3/10".

"Eight weeks after my second treatment, I never wake my wife. She is now wanting to be done herself!  She can use my probe, so that it costs under half the cost for her to be done."

Henn H, Takapuna

"I first had a Snore-Op in 2003 when my wife rated my snoring between 9/10 and 10/10, and with the first treatment, it dropped to 5/10 after two months.  A second treatment then reduced it to 3/10, meaning it did not wake her up at all.  By 2009 it had crept back to 10/10, although my wife says it is 'intermittent, and snuffling', and 'not as prolonged nor as loud as in 2003'.  One treatment knocked it back to about 5/10, so I have just come back today to have a repeat snoring operation.  I have recommended it to a friend in Dunedin, and he went to the SnoreOp trained doctor down there"

Warren F, Beachhaven, Auckland

"I am a big chap.  My first snore operation 8 weeks ago did not make a difference.  There was no pain after the Snore-Op.  I came in for a repeat snoring operation today because there is a good chance a subsequent operation will work".

Jason H, aged 36, Auckland

This procedure works in 80% of people with the first snoring operation, and a further 10% have an improvement with a second attempt.  Overall is around 90% of patients achieving a snoring reduction.

"I had my snoring operation 6 years ago.  Even now, I don't snore much"

Farmer, aged late 60's, Chatham Islands

"It was really easy.  There was slight pain, but no painkillers were required, and it went away quickly.  I have recommended it to everybody"

Leanne S, Paeroa

"It certainly made a difference!  It is not right yet after a third treatment, so today I had a fourth one done.  I used to wake the neighbours with my snoring!  Now they do not hear me, and my partner only wakens from my snoring twice a week".

Stephen W, Devonport, Auckland

"After my snoring operation, my pain score was 2/10 to 3/10, or what I would call 'minor discomfort', and really a non-event compared with my snoring problem.  I had an iceblock, and that made it a lot better.  It felt like I had a golf ball in my throat the first two nights, felt like a grape on the third night, like a pea on the fourth night, and was gone on the fifth night".

Daniel F, Herne Bay, Auckland

"My pain score after my snoring operation was about 0.5/10...I really only had a dry mouth, and by the second day there was completely no pain"

Douglas B, aged 34, Torbay

"My snoring was 10/10 initially, and we seldom got to sleep together.  Now we are together every night, and it has enhanced our marital life. She wakes perhaps once every three weeks with my snoring now, which is fine.  Also, I used to get very tired by about 3 pm every day, and now that does not occur"

Rob S, aged 58, Fairview, Auckland
